“Love is all you need.”
—John Lennon
Today’s canvas is the 50th and final piece of my “50 in 50 for 50 Project”. I officially turned a half century old a few minutes ago at the time of this writing, and my parents called at that time. How surreal it must be for them to realize they became parents 50 years ago. Time is so weird. Sometimes it seems to go by so quickly, and other times it drags. It’s true—time is relative.
Creating 50 canvases took a while, but the time went by fast. I guess it’s because it was something I enjoyed doing each day. I even have ideas that never came to fruition.
It was fun to explore and play with other materials other than paint. I enjoyed trying new techniques like the bead embroidery on today’s canvas. It was time consuming, but something I’d like to do again.
I appreciate the few of you who followed my blog for the last seven weeks. Your encouraging words kept me going. Writing is difficult for me, but I feel it’s gotten easier with practice. I’m still going to blog though it won’t be on a daily basis.
It’s been a fun experience—maybe I’ll do something like this again. Over the weekend, my dad shook his head and said something like, “You sure have some work to do when you’re 75!” Ha! I will indeed!
