Radiate Love

I recall a commercial I frequently saw on television a few years ago. I do not remember for what company the advertisement ran–probably some insurance agency. The opening scene began with a person helping another individual whom then showed appreciation for the assistance. In the next scene, that second person would then do something kind for someone else. The last scene showed the third person lending a helping hand to yet another person. I loved these commercials as it showed how one act of kindness could potentially inspire a series of kind acts that are never witnessed by the first Samaritan.

Many of us have done something kind for another person without expecting anything in return–small acts such as holding a door open for others, returning a toy a toddler dropped out of his stroller, or letting someone with only two items go ahead of you in line at the grocery store. Afterwards, we receive gratitude from those we assist, but we don’t see how it may impact others throughout the day. It’s amazing to think how one small act of helping others could potentially touch so many lives.

Life can be wonderful, but it has its challenges. It’s not possible to know what struggles others are facing so it’s important to always be kind. You never know the kind of impact you might make on someone’s day. Be kind. Radiate love.
